TEFAP Funds were used by emergency feeding organizations to cover approved administrative costs such as fuel for delivery trucks, cleaning and repairing warehouse gutters, and repairing a food storage freezer, in operation of The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). The program aims to alleviate hunger in low-income families across Arizona.
The TEFAP funds were used to support the food delivery systems; including but not limited to:
[1] Maintaining delivery trucks.
[2] Maintain an appropriate and clean environment for food distributed by the EFOs; purchase of cleaning supplies, purchase of maintenance/repair materials.
[3] Maintain food storage freezers.
[4] Administrative costs; delivery truck fuel.
[5] Ugrade computer software for tracking and eligibility of recipient households.
[6] Increase storage and efficienty and inventory process of food with warehouse tracking system. |

Administrative funds were used by emergency feeding organizations to retain truck drivers, warehouse personnel and support staff which helped ensure that TEFAP food has been distributed in the most effective manner possible.
FTE job count was completely composed of Retained jobs not jobs created.
All jobs retained work to support, effectively and efficiently, the distribution of TEFAP food through Emergency Feeding Organizations in Arizona.

CDL Certified Truck Drivers:
The truck driver’s primary responsibility is to deliver food to Emergency Feeding Organization (EFO).
Warehouse personnel:
The primary responsibility of the warehouse personnel is to maintain the TEFAP food in an appropriate environment and efficiently distribute the food through the EFO delivery system.
Support Staff:
The primary responsibility of support personnel is to process orders, receive sign in sheets and inventory reports from Recipient Agencies to accurately report monthly statistical data on pounds of food distributed, number of individuals and households served and maintain first in first out inventory of food products. |
