HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF DENVER
The Westwood Homes renovation will address the physical needs assessment by performing a complete renovation of the interior of the units and incorporate a retrofit for energy conservation (i.e. Green communities) by installing roof-top photo-voltaic panels on all buildings and the replacement of the undersized electrical subpanels in each unit. The work will include new electrical outlets, switches, low wattage fixtures, and hard wired smoke control system. The deteriorating natural gas lines will be abandoned, gas water heaters and furnaces will be replaced with Energy Star electric water heaters and furnaces. This funding will also provide for the installation of low E dual glazed insulated windows and Energy Star electrical appliances (ranges and refrigerators).

3/31/2012 - Final retainage paid and this is the final reproting.
12/31/2011 - Construction is 100% complete and final payment of retainage is pending contract close-out process which will be completed in the 1st quarter 2012.
Initial Description - The Agency plan which includes this project was approved by DHA board in October 2009 and was approved by HUD. The environmental clearance was completed on December 11, 2009 and the pre-development budget was approved by HUD on December 30, 2009. The disposition application was submitted to HUD on February 13, 2010 and approved on May 27, 2010. The mixed Finance closing and construction start is planned for August 2010. Pre-development funds are being obligated and spent starting in March 2010. 1,536.3 hours are reportable for this period.
Revised report on 7-20-10 to correct the total payments made to vendors under $25,000 from the quarterly amount to a cumulative amount for the grant.
March 31, 2011 - In coping forward the previous quarterly reports, we did not delete the previous vendor payments over $25,000 and as such they may have been duplicated in the totaling. To date we have made 13 actual vendor payments (including 2 for this quarter) over $25,000 totaling $4,336,331.75 and 63 payments under $25,000 totaling $205,749.30.
