CDM has been tasked with the cleanup, or remediation, of mining wastes at the Lee Mountain Mine Site in the community of Rimini, in Lewis and Clark County, Montana, and the remediation of the residential yards in the community of Rimini. Remedial actions consist of digging and hauling contaminated soils to the Luttrell repository, where they will be securely stored indefinitely according to the Record of Decision (ROD) dated June 2002 and the ROD Amendment dated September 2008 (available on the USEPA website). The Lee Mountain Mine property and the residential yards will be restored to beneficial use for the Town.

| Quarterly Activities/Project Description |
This report summarizes the activities that CDM Smith expensed at the Upper Tenmile Creek Superfund Site from November 25, 2012 through January 26, 2013. Because of delays by the second-tier construction subcontractor in submitting an invoice, the work expensed was performed during prior quarters and the jobs created/retained were previously reported in the quarters when the work was physically performed. The work expensed was for CDM Smith's small, minority-owned business construction subcontractor to perform the following activities: (1) excavate contaminated yard soil from a Rimini residential property and haul the wastes to the Luttrell Repository for permanent disposal; (2) place approximately 7,200 cubic yards of clean backfill at the Rimini residential property and the Lee Mountain mine site; (3) remove residential yard fixtures to allow for the yard remediation and replace the fixtures at completion; (4) install a replacement septic system drainfield; and (5) perform record surveying and demobilize from the site. The cumulative amount invoiced through the reporting period is $1,834,812.87. |

Because of the minimal hours incurred by the prime contractor on this project during the reporting period, when rounded to the nearest full-time equivalent (FTE), no prime contractor jobs were created or retained to report. Additionally, no FTE jobs were created or retained by the first-tier subcontractor during this period. Jobs reported were calculated according to the December 18, 2009 Office of Management and Budget memorandum "M-10-8" and include hours worked and funded by ARRA divided by hours in a full-time schedule. |
