LAKESHORE ENGINEERING SERVICES, INC.
Lakeshore will demolish 72 units and one garage complex and construct 76 Military Family Housing (MFH) units (in 20 buildings) with all necessary amenities and supporting facilities. The project includes site preparation, garages, energy conserving features, parking, patios, privacy fencing, and supporting infrastructure of roads, utilities, recreation areas, landscaping, asbestos removal, and demolition. New construction includes:

* ADA Adaptable ? units must be constructed to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards (i.e., turning radii, door widths, handrail blocking, power source for lift if appropriate, etc.), however, standard fixtures shall be installed. Military Family Housing maintenance personnel will install handrails, ADA compliant fixtures (commodes, etc.), and other items in homes prior to occupancy by the disabled.
**A two bedroom JNCO modified unit is defined in the AFFHG
The requirements for this project include a design that conforms to the net and gross unit benchmark areas defined in the latest Air Force Family Housing Guide AFFHG. New units will provide modern and efficient housing for military members and their dependents at Eielson AFB, All units will meet modern housing standards. Housing designs will provide a modern kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and bath configuration, with ample interior and exterior storage. Adequate infrastructure support for utilities shall also be provided.

| Quarterly Activities/Project Description |
All 76 units have been completed and LEED inspections were performed on the these buildings and all buildings have been turned over to the Government. All landscape, topsoil and seeding installation has been completed. Birch Street Modification: Additional work in the Birch Street Modification that commenced in the 3rd quarter was completed and included piping manhole 350 to 350-2, installation of a new Birch Street Play Area, and replacement of Birch Street lighting. Finally, all additonal work that commenced in the 3rd quarter that included relocated Smoke Detectors and Install New Combination Smoke/CO Detectors and provide Spare Fuses and Load Breaks in all buildings was completed. All base contract and additional work was completed and no further work is anticipated. |
