This grant assisted Kansas in making available special education and related services for children with disabilities ages 3-5 years old in accordance with Part B of IDEA. The expenses were used primarily for funding 51.31 full-time positions. These positions included early childhood teachers, paras, and related services providers. In Kansas, the goals of this program is implemented through the Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems Plan. This plan includes a variety of activities such as Collaborative Partnerships, Education and Related Services, Early Childhood Least Restrictive Environment, Social Emotional Development, Parent Education, Family Supports, and Transition from Part C to Part B. (Preschool to K-12 programs)
