The decisions of transforming the MAP Department will be influenced by the staff of the Medical Assistance Program and the VI Management of Inforamtion technology Department. This technology would allow the VI more rapid transformation of information and reimbursement of revenues to the Medical Assistance Program.

Quarterly Activities/Project Description The Department of Medical Assistance Program(MAP) has obtained approval for an Extension for spending the funding from CMS. The new date of extension expiration is 09/30/2012. In this extension of time, the MAP Department is proceeding to enter into a contract with Mercer Consulting to continue the implementation of the electronic health record. The work process was slowed down but the Department has picked up and started back to work on the EHR. Meeting was held with the Territorial Department of finance for the MAP to gain access through rolled codes of the ERP for access to continued spending of funding.
