This grant was approved in April 20 of 2009. A total of $3,754,034.40 of ARRA federal funds were awarded to the Puerto Rico Highway and Transportation Authority (PRTHA), through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The project consisted of pavement rehabilitation and minor repairs to roadways located on the South Region of Puerto Rico. This highway improvement is classified as a 4R project (Resurfacing, Restoration, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction). A total of 29.00 kilometers of roadway were improved with these Recovery funds. The project was successfully completed in the year 2012. |
