sept/2012: A) Acq. of 2 Paratransit for Jayuya - Pending PRHTA signs the new agreement in order to make the payment directly to the Vendor. On August 30, 2012 the Municipality received the vehicles. B) Acq. of 2 Trolleys for Utuado - This activity was closed. C) Construction of 30 Shelters for Salinas - On August 31, 2012 the PRHTA paid the amount of $110,910. directly to the vendor for adquisition of shelters. The Municipality is in the process of preparing a contract for the installation. D) Rehabilitation Ferry Terminal (Mosquito) in Vieques for Ports Authority (PRPA). - The PRPA is in the process of signing the desing contract. |

The FTA Recovery Act grant will be used to purchase of 2 Paratransit - Jayuya; pruchase of 2 Trolleys - Utuado; construction of 30 Shelters - Salinas and the rehabilitation of Mosquito Ferry Terminal in Vieques - Ports Authority. Maritime Transportation Authority. The projects funds, under this grant, will invest in transportation, environmental protection, and other infrastructure that will provide long-term economic benefits. These investment will also contribute to preserving and maintaining jobs and promoting economic recovery in the vehicle manfacturing and construction industry. |
