ARRA - Capital Improvement Program:
The purpose of Grant C81CS13729 was the renovation/improvements to the "Hospital General de Castane" building and the acquisition of equipment to improve the clinical and non clinical service provided by the health center. The goal is to offer a more effective and efficient primary service to the 32,000 population residing in the Castaner rural service area. Once complited the project, the center's overall appearence will be greatly improved and become more attractive to the community resulting in the recruitment of more than 350 new additional patients. It is very important to renew, repair the building, and acquire new equipments to improve the quality of service the Castaner Community and attract new patients to enroll in the different primary care programs.

To Complete stated objective of ARRA CIP grant, which are to fund needed Health Center site and Satelite Policlinic clinical and non-clinical equipment, roof ceiling, X-Rays digitalization, Improvements to the 49 year old electrical system to make it more energy efficient, a ?facelift? to this 49 year old facility, install a roof to the carport entrance to the hospital, Improve the Computarized System. These activities contribute to the stated objectives of Recovery Act Capital Improvement Program (CIP) grants which are to support the construction, repair and renovation of over 1500 Health Center sites nationwide and It also contribute to create jobs. |
