Section 5307 funding for vessel preservation. Preservation work on the M/V Spokane included structural preservation including gallery deck and topside paint where old paint was removed and the majority of the topside vessel was painted. The paint helps preserve the structure of the vessels by preventing corrosion of the metal. In addition, steel replacement for the restroom deck, galley, and passenger deck were completed. Piping replacement, asbestos removal, wireless LAN and navigation work was also completed. Preservation work on the M/V Evergreen included steel replacement on the passenger deck, topside and vehicle deck preparation and painting, wireless LAN installation and navigation work was also completed.
