Capital Fund Formula Grant: Original grant work items came in under budget. HUD approved a budget revision during earlier reporting quarter that added new work items. Work now included in formula grant: 1) Perform Agencywide physical needs assesssment. 2) Abate and repair backlog of 87 vacant units and re-occupy. 3) Environmental testing and monitoring services related to vacancy abatement and other remediation grant work items. 4) Correct water infiltration through facade and roof at Crawford Manor, an elderly/disabled high-rise building. 5) Construction management services related to water infiltration through facade and roof at Crawford Manor. 6) Continue kitchen and bathroom upgrade in 21 units at Charles McQueeney, an elderly/disabled high-rise building. 7) Construction management services related to continuation of kitchen and bathroom upgrade in 21 units at Charles McQueeney. 8) Remediate mold and asbestos in 40 units at Ribicoff Cottages & Extension. 9) Remediate mold, perform heating system modifications and replace floors in 26 units at Newhall Gardens, including architectural/engineering services. 10) Replace 10 furnaces at McConaughy Terrace, including architectural/engineering services. 11) Relocation (mover) associated with construction and remediation activities at McQueeney, Ribicoff & Extension and Newhall Gardens. Expected outcome--reduction in number of vacancies, improved operations and reduction in operating costs.
