Purchase and renovation of a granite shed in Barre to create a structure that will serve the community, reflect the organization's commitment to environmental stewardship, and focus on creating employment through an expanded social enterprise, to create new job skill training opportunities for high school dropouts, completing home weatherization through an expanded Youthbuild trianing program, and to relieve poverty by providing low-cost goods to low -income people in central Vermont.

Installed vestibule and double glass door as main entry into facility. Completed all life safety and accessibility upgrades including fire doors, sprinkler upgrade, and alarm system. Loan closing is scheduled for October 20, 2011. |
