The purpose of this contract is to produce sturt arms used in dam lock gates for the St Louis Corp of Engineers. Included in the fabrication of these strut arms are our product, Edgewater Ring springs. The contract also includes monies to provide for four extra springs to serve as replacements to strut arms currently in service. The contract is for four assembled strut arms and four extra ring springs. The award of this contract will enable our company to continue the employment of 10 laborers and fabricators. The long term outlook for these positions included a reduction of this workforce by half, however award of this contract will negate that action.
