The Corps of Engineers as part of its Ecosystem Restoration Study along the Connecticut River is in need of several surveyed cross sections of the river valley. The sections are necessary for the development of a hydraulic flow model that will be used to link flooding elevation with the surrounding landscape. A total of 12 cross sections are desired. The sections shown on the attached figures are located near the towns of Groveton, Lancaster, Woodsville and Haverhill New Hampshire. Most of the survey work is land based and relatively flat. A small boat or float will be required to obtain the invert of the river. The Contractor shall collect survey cross sections of the river and appropriate back channels using terrestrial Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) dual frequency GPS. The Contractor, using RTK GPS, shall also establish the appropriate base control and random sampling points needed to conduct the airborne RTK LIDAR survey of the remainder of the sections.
