ARRA - Health Center Integrated Services Development - Increase Services to Health Centers This award will allow the recipient to respond to the increased demand for accessible and affordable primary care in our service area. Specifically we plan to increase the clinical hours of our pediatrician, hire an additional internist and dentist, and hire the support staff for these providers. This increase in health care providers will allow us to meet some of the increased demand for medical and dental services. The projections are for 1,254 unduplicated new patient and 512 new uninsured patients.

Quarterly Activities/Project Description A pediatition has increased hours (.13 FTE), an internist was retained (.95 FTE), a dentist was retained (.95 FTE), and .47 FTE support staff were retained to meet the increased demand for services. During the quarter 725 new patients were seen. Of these new patients 74 were uninsured. For the 2-year grant period a total of 5,131 new patients were seen of which 702 were uninsured.
