▲ The completion of toxicity and cell culture based potency assays of selected high potency
compounds will be pursued in the next quarter.
Aim 1.1. First part, virtual screening for identification of DENV protease inhibitors by Dr. David
Ostrov has been completed and the leads will be validated in the next quarter (Padmanabhan
and Ostrov)
▲ At the Wichita State University supported by sub award, progress related to (a) the
optimization of two novel series of compounds based on the 1, 2-benzisothiazolinone and
isoindolin-1-one scaffolds led to submission of the following manuscript already published
(Groutas and Padmanabhan).
▲ Several manuscripts are in either preparation or has been submitted for publication and are
at different stages of review process as detailed below.
● Srinivasan, P., Boonyasuppaya, S., Saperstein, S., Nagarajan, K., and Padmanabhan, R.
Evaluation of compounds of 8-hydroxyquinoline scaffold as inhibitors dengue virus protease by
in vitro and cell-based replication assays (in preparation) (Padmanabhan?s lab).
