PORTLAND, CITY OF
The City of Portland was awarded a National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program Grant to fund a retrofit program targeting City of Portland, City of Salem, Multnomah County Fleets as well the Fleets of private contractors working on publicly funded construction projects in Multnomah County and Salem, Oregon. The general purpose of the grant is to reduce diesel emissions and improve air quality.

We've completed the entire project. Successfully installed 138 retrofits. The project resulted in a
significant increase in the local expertise (of both the municipal fleet staff and
the installation vendors) related to the installation of retrofit technologies. Also completed the successful installation of 158 fuel operated heaters, furthering
the widespread adoption of idle reduction technologies. |

There were a total of 113.5 hours worked over the quarter on this project. Our vendors Peterson CAT spent 51.5 hours finishing install of the diesel oxidation catalysts and closed crankcase ventillation systems. Multnomah County fleet Mechanics worked 62 hours to install the remaining direct fired heaters.
