The extended hour services project through IDS funds has proved to be of benefits to our users. The extended hours schedule provides many patients the possibility of acces to services without failing to attend work or school. Our focus was to increase access to services that are in demand by the users and to reduce the "no show" percentage to appointments during regular hours. The pediatrics and nutritionist services are valued by the users since there are no other providers of such services in Barceloneta or the nearby areas. Also, an important part of the program are the health promotion activities that are scheduled throughout the year at the center, communities, schools, churches and other organizations as requested. The project was finalized on June 30, 2011 but the amount of $13,930.70 was not reported on a previous quarter due to was requested on 6/30/2011 and reflected on a PMS on July 1, 2011. |
