Vocational Rehabilitation Services provides vocational rehabilitation employment services to individuals with disabilities through the WorkForce Center (WFC) System. Activities closed in previous quarter. They included:
Paid internships for youth and adults with disabilities.
Innovation in Transition Aged Youth: Transition grants for job placement and career development.
MN Works: Develop and implement business and marketing initiatives which provide employment opportunities.
Minnesota Diversified Industries: Develop organizational capacity to place persons with disabilities in community based work.
FastTRAC Services for People with Disabilities: 4 grants to assist in acquiring stackable credentials.
Project SEARCH: Work place immersion experiences for young adults who have significant cognitive impairments.
Employment for Young Adults on the Autism Spectrum in Digital Arts: Research for young adults with autism spectrum disorder pursuing employment in the digital arts.
Small Business Development: Models of funding research.
Demonstration to Maintain Independence and Employment Stay Well Stay Working: Initiative with the Dept of Human Services to provide employment supports and early intervention.
Center Based Conversion: Convert 2 center based employment programs to community based.
Learning Management System Development: web-based tool for managing training.
Motivational Interviewing: Training VR and Community Rehab Program Staff. Hope Haven: Expanding VR services in Southwestern MN.
Office of Enterprise Technology Accessibility: Created technology accessibility standards.
