Microwave Limb Sounder (MLS) is a major "Principal Investigator" experiment on the Earth Observing System (EOS) Aura Mission launched in July 2004.The EOS is a focal point of NASA's Earth Science Enterprise, designed to further the understanding of global climate change by providing a global observing system and a comprehensive range of measurements. JPL has overall responsibility for the EOS MLS instrument and experiment. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) has overall responsibility for the Aura mission. The significant deliverable is to inspect approximately 1,800 days of reprocessed mission data products. All milestones and deliverables have been completed.
