LEADERSHIP CONF ON CIVIL RIGHTS
Subawards were provided to local community groups to assist LCCREF in disseminating information and assisting local communities in making the transition to Digital TV. The local community groups in some cases acted as DTV Assistance Centers by commiting office space for demonstrations and meetings and generally assisting at risk groups with the transition by demonstrating or in fact installing DTV converter boxes. Other community groups participated by providing local groups and individuals with awarness and information on the pending transition.
