LUCAS, COUNTY OF
CJCC will contract with law enforcement and community agencies to provide services targeting job creation and retention that meet current community needs.
2009-RA-LE-9000: TPD: JAG funds will retain 36 officers scheduled to be laid off. TPD will fund 36 patrol officers for 4.9 months beginning May 1, 2009. This project will retain 13.6 FTEs.
2009-RA-LE-9010: LCSO: LCSO will retain 7.29 Corrections Officers for 12 months beginning no later than January 1, 2010.
2009-RA-LE-9020: OPD: OPD will fund personnel, equipment and supplies.
Note: The following project FTE estimates reflect ARRA: JAG federal funds and do not include local matching funds.
2009-RA-B01-B1070: Batterer?s Intervention Program: The project will enhance the Batterer?s Intervention Program by adding an initial six week educational group and intensive case management for program participants. The project will create .16 FTEs.
2009-RA-D01-B1076: DV Court Advocacy Program: The project will provide on-site adult victim advocacy services in Toledo and Lucas County criminal and civil courts. The project will create .74 FTEs and retain .28 FTEs.
2009-RA-D01-B1076A: DV Court Advocacy Program (FY11): The project will provide on-site adult victim advocacy services in Toledo and Lucas County criminal and civil courts. The project will create .03 FTEs and retain .07 FTEs.
2009-RA-B01-B1079: Harbor House Plus Program: The project will provide case management, individual group counseling and necessary referrals to other agencies to single homeless women. The project will create .75 FTEs and retain .12 FTEs.
2009-RA-D01-B1080: Lucas County Legal Assistance: The project will offer comprehensive legal services to 190 victims including: civil/protective orders, representation for court proceedings, obtaining public assistance, landlord-tenant disputes, housing issues, employment rights, consumer law and debt collection. The project will retain .40 FTEs.
2009-RA-B01-B1083: PHP Support Group: The project will offer support groups for parents to discuss specific behaviors and gain knowledge and suggestions about proven strategies to implement at home. The project will retain .3 FTE positions.
2009-RA-B01-B1084: Sexual Assault DV Prevention: The project will provide sexual assault and DV education to junior/senior high school students. Support groups will be offered at the school or a site in the community. The project will create .75 FTEs.
2009-RA-E01-B1088: TMC Online Alternatives: The project will develop a link on the Court's website to allow first time offenders to complete the Straight Ahead program on the web. The project will create .06 FTEs.
2009-RA-D01-B1089: Toledo Prosecutor Project: The Prosecutor?s Office will hire a new prosecutor that will be assigned to a courtroom that currently does not have a prosecutor. The project will create .75 FTEs.
2009-RA-B01-B1090: Victims Forum?Teen Dating Violence Prevention: The project will address the issue of teen dating violence. The project will include presentations, group discussions and videos portraying teens in abusive relationships. The project will create.37 FTEs.
2009-RA-C01-B1091: Women?s Criminogenic Needs: The program will address the gender specific needs of medium and high risk female offenders. One full-time probation officer position will be retained. 20 probation officers will receive training to assist with gender specific assessments, PSI reports and case overflow. The project will retain .62 FTEs.
2009-RA-C01-B1092: Youth Cognitive Corrections: A program specialist will train detention staff on the updated and enhanced cognitive behavioral model. The project will retain 1.71 FTEs.
2009-RA-C01-B1093: Culturally Competent Cognitive Corrections (FY10): The project will prepare delinquent youth for expedited transfer from JDC to Community Detention. The project director will ensure group programming reinforces cognitive based thinking and decision making. The project will retain .49 FTEs.
