Quarterly Activities/Project Description Monthly Results Oriented Management and Accountability and Community Service Block Grant Advisory Committee meetings among Community Action Agencies have continued. One of the primary objectives of this group was to implement a new database which will help with the goal of this grant to develop a consistent tracking/reporting mechanism to document CAA services. Currently, all 11 agencies are implementing the new database and a majority have gone live and are completely transitioned from their old database. A contractor completed the community forums identified as an objective in the Strategic Planning and Coordination grant. Additional forums, held in this quarter, took place in Tucson, Casa Grande, Flagstaff, and Phoenix. Top comunity needs were identified and discussed and plans were created to tackle these issues. In order to provide support to Community Action Agencies in preparing to sustain the impact of the Recovery Act, several Community Action Agencies undertook the strategic planning process with a facilitator provided by the Arizona Community Action Association. 5 Community Action Agencies completed the process and now have a plan to move forward with over the next 5 years. The total amount of funds authorized was not expended due to consulting costs being lower than originally thought and a lack of time remaining to bring on additional consultants to complete additional projects. No more project funds will be expended.
