As a result of the construction / renovation of our new data center, located in the Hilo Family Health Center on 1778 Kinoole Avenue Hilo, HI 96720, we created .39 FTE construction jobs. The work required to renovate this space for the data center required a total of 802.5 hours of work among 20 people. The people who worked on this were a project manager (321.5 hours), an architect (16 hours), an electrical engineer (24 hours), a mechanical engineer (18 hours), an installer (20 hours, 3 electricians (103 hours), 4 construction workers (170 hours), a flooring installer (8 hours), 3 HVAC installers (112 hours), and 2 data cabling installers (10 hours). These workers (20) worked a total of 802.5 hours, or .39 FTE. |

We received $805,415 in support for Health Information Technology infrastructure. This funding was divided into 4 projects. Project 1 is to renovate our Hilo Family Health Center to create a safe and secure data center for our entire health information technology infrastructure. Project 2 was to renovate our Kau Family Health Center restrooms. This project however has been changed and funding re-allocated to other projects. This change is pending approval at HRSA. Project 3 is for Health Information Technology to support a new phone system, and supporting IT equipment, and Project 4 was for a new Electronic Practice Management system and a new Electronic Dental Health Records System. |
