The purpose of this award is to expand access to needed primary health care services specifically by means of the following: We retained two (2) part time pediatricians, one(1) part time practical nurse, one (1) part time pharmacist technician and one part time pharmacist to bring primary health care services on extended service hours. WE opened and aditional pediatric clinic on Satursday. The main goal is to provide additional services during a time frame (extra hours)in which we were not providing services, specifically for pediatrics, pharmacy and regular primary care. With the completion of this goal we would be expanding services at existing health center sites in an underserved area or for an underserved population.

Description of Jobs Created This project addresses community need by increasing the pediatrics and pharmacy service hours through a combination of staffing additions that includes: two (2) pediatricians one(1) practical nurse, one(1) pharmacy technician and one(1) pharmacists. This additions will bring additional jobs to a hard hit community. Adding providers will open up many appointments for walk-inns and new patients and provide reassurance to those unable to pay for their health care that they may be seen.
