Robert C. Byrd Federal Building, Charleston, WV: To investigate and provide a complete contract document package that includes the following: 1) Module Photovoltaic System consisting of the installation of highly efficient single crystallian silicon encapsulated module solar cells. Photovoltaic modules will be installed in conjunction with combiner boxes, DC (direct current) disconnects, inverters, AD (alternating current) disconnects, equipment enclosures, wire, conduit, switches, fuses, and all appurtenances to make the system complete and operational. 2) Replace existing inverted roofing membrane assembly roofing system to a long life-low maintenance roof system to accommodate the module photovoltaic technology. 3) Relighting System to provide adequate illumination and save energy by reducing lighting energy consumption. 4) Execute re-commissioning strategies to reduce energy demand, reduce operation and maintenance costs, and improve the building system control. 5) Reflective Study to provide information on the amount of glare that can be expected from the installation of the new 100kw (kilowatt) solar array to be placed on the roof of the 9 story building and determine if the glare will be disturbing to occupant's of adjacent buildings. 6) Removal of existing fireproofing material, prepping and recoating of all exposed structural steel members with associated cross bracing at 8th floor depressed roof area. Provide structural analysis report assessing and evaluating existing structure of the Main Roof level to determine its capability to support the new Ballasted Photovoltaic Solar Array System. Construction Administration services: Submittals review, respond to RFI's (request for information), inspection services, attend a minimum of (12) on-site construction progress meetings, transformation of as-builts hardcopy drawings into final electronic CAD (computer-aided design) documents. Provide construction documents for drycoolers and related system as necessary for the Computer Room air-conditioning unit. Provide final retro-commissioning report. (13)Provide structural review, assessment, and evaluation of Summit Anchor connections to existing structure
