This grant has allowed the City of Alexandria, LA and ATRANS, the transit department, to purchase 4 buses (which are currently on order - Purchase Order #P1073829), mid -size buses for the night service, purchase 6 ADA vans, 2 support vehicles and to conduct preventive maintenance on the entire fleet. As a result of these investments ATRANS will be able to offer public transportation service that is safer, more reliable, more environmentally friendly, and more accessible for people with disabilities. |
