Quarterly Activities/Project Description	This project is a roadway widening project in Appling County. The project will widen and reconstruct US 1/SR 4 from the Bacon County line north to SR 15. From the Bacon County line to CR 493, the US 1/SR 4 improvements consists of the widening of the existing rural 2-lane roadway to a rural 4-lane roadway with a 44 foot wide depressed grassed median. From CR 493 north the roadway will transition to a rural 4-lane section with a 14-ft flush median just north of CR 90. From just north of CR 90 to just south of CR 610 the US 1/SR 4 improvements consist of an urban 4-lane section with a 14-ft flush median. From just south of CR 610 to SR 15 the US 1/SR 4 improvements consist of an urban 4-lane section with a flush median varying from 24-f to 0-f. Existing lanes will be retained throughout the entire project. The project will also be constructed with the bridge replacement project at the bridges over Blackwater Creek and Sweetwater Creek.
