CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES, NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF
AmeriCorps State Formula Members will:
Recruit new volunteers and increase volunteer time at the youth center Warehouse and will recruit new long-term volunteers.
Provide job counseling and skills training (youth employment services) to at-risk youth ages 14 to 24.
Design and deliver wellness classes incorporating gardening, nutrition and arts.
Provide employment and skills training and counseling to 1500.

All ARRA AmeriCorps programs are complete. The expenditures incurred this quarter are reimbursements for activities that took place in the previous quarter.
Activities included:
1 AmeriCorps member provided tutoring and literacy services to 42 at-risk students ages 13 to 18 in the Outdoor Classroom for Diverse Learners.
2 members served as key to the garden project collaborating with CYC's 12 other AmeriCorps members in arts integration to facilitate the Wellness project to approximate 250 middle and high school students in Las Cruces and Dona Ana County.
15 AmeriCorps members placed 276 clients with disabilities in jobs, after receiving employment and skills training and counseling.
