SPRINGFIELD, CITY OF
Grant Name:Capital Improvement. Purpose/Goals: Conduct alterations and renovations on the 2nd floor of a facility at 11 Wilbraham Road in Springfield and subsequently create an adolescent clinic providing quality primary healthcare, reproductive health, mental health and substance abuse supportive services, and a 2-operatory dental clinic to over 2000 teens currently homeless or precariously housed. The grant funds will also be used to furnish and equip the clinic. The funds will allow SDHHS to provide badly needed primary healthcare to a seriously underserved population of homeless youth in Springfield and ensure the teens have an easily accessible medical home.
