SANTA CLARA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT
Cooperative Agreement between the United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) to construct the Lower Silver Creek Reaches 4, 5, and 6A Flood Protection and Creek Restoration Project, consisting of: Approximately 10,000 linear feet of channel improvement work between Interstate 680 and Moss Point Drive in accordance with the approved construction plans and specifications. Specific work to be done includes: construciton of a flood protection channel with wetland vegetation, establishment of riparian habitat, construction of a sediment transport channel with gravel maintenance road, retaining walls, and flood walls. All creek modifications are being designed to ultimately meet the overall goal of conveying the 1% design flow in the future.
