Kenai Visitor Center HVAC Rehab. Base Bid ($56,935.50): The base bid shall consist of the contractor performing a site reconnaissance and preparing a work plan and cost proposal. Contractors work plan and proposal shall consist of the following: 1). Written detailed work plan describing work to be performed including sketches, diagrams, and product cut sheets as required. 2). Cost proposal to perform the work as detailed in the work plan. Costs shall be broken down showing all costs such as labor, material, equipment, OH&P etc... 3). Contractor shall consult the services for a registered professional engineer(s) with experience in HVAC, electrical and control systems. Engineers shall be registered in the state of Alaska and shall provide proof of professional registration with the work plan. 4). All proposed work shall be in accordance with local, state and federal building codes including but not limited to the International Building Codes, NFPA, and ASHRAE standards. 5). Product cut sheets and specification information for the major components shall be included in the contractors work plan. Optional Bid Item #1 ($625,972.00):Consists of providing all labor, materials and equipment to complette the verified scope of work determined and negotiated as an outcome from the base bid and the work plan. Modification No. 0002 in the amount of Non ARRA $74,602.85: Provide painting, electrical panel credit, lighting upgrades for upstairs and downstairs and replace ceiling tiles. Modification No. 0003 in the amount of Non ARRA $57,170.57: Provide basement painting, main floor painting, and additional office trailer rental time. Modification #0004 in the amount of Non ARRA (?) $3971.22: Add sprinkler heads.
