Lighting retrofits will be implemented in the Public Agency Center office building and the Fair Park Pavilion exhibition hall.

Quarterly Activities/Project Description This initial qtrly report reflects the pre-award costs approved for this contract. Assmnt of energy eff proj options and the determination of those with the greatest benefit. This assessmt was the basis for the preparation of an EECBG plan, budget and app. 1/1-3/30/10: Held kick-off meeting for project mgt team. Confirmed design plans for the proj and presented them to governing board at campus. Prepared proj sch. Developing design specs, which are not 40% complete. 4/1-6/30/10: Completed design specs and bid the proj. Evaluated contractor bids and awarded contract to Mech Tech. Identified specific eqmt and placed orders. Held Kick-off meeting to prepare for construction. 7/1-9/30/10 Old Electrical controls and boilers were removed. High energy efficiency boilers were set in place. WOrk on gas piping, plumbing, electrical and controls was started. 10/1-12/31/10 All Piping work completed, Boiler was filled and started up. Now in use to heat the building. This activity is almost complete. The Lighting retrofits/replacement has been started. An RFP was issued and a consulting group selected. Initiated involvement with WI Focus on Energy for addl resources. 1/1-3/31/11: An owners rep for the light proj was selected. Bid docs for electric contractors prepared and bid awarded. Proj Kick-off meetings held. 4/1-6/30/11: Light fixtures were delivered for the Public Agency Center. All the ballast and lamp replacements in the Sheriff's Dept, Govt Center and Jail that were sched to be replaced were completed. Approx 64 new light fixtures remain to be completed for these areas and will be installed the beginning of Aug. Fair Park pavilion work has been completed. 7/1-9/30/11 All lighting proj are completed. 10/1-12/31/11 Focus on Energy Rebates received providing a significant savings on the proj. An AMENDMNT has been applied for to cont w/ lighting replacmnts. Amendmt approvd, bid for add'l lighting comp WIP. 2nd qrt Prjct Complete, waiting on Enrgy Rebates

Description of Jobs Created A Land Use Inspector position avoided layoff by employing the Land Use division of the County Planning & Parks Department to research and prepare the application for this EECBG award. Revenues for this position were down dramatically from 2008 because of the slowdown in housing development activities in the county in 2009. Update for 1/1/10 to 3/31/10 : No new job creations during this quarter. Update for 4/1/10 to 6/30/10 qtr: No new job creations during this quarter.Update 7/1/10 to 9/30/10: No new job creations during this quarter. 1 Steamfitter/Plumber job was retained as a result of this project. Update 10/1 to 12/31/10 No new jobs created Update 1/1/11-3/31/11: Owners Represntative for the Lighting Project was Selected. Bid documents for electrical contractors prepared and bid awarded. Project kick-off meetings held. 4/1/11 to 6/30/11 No new jobs created. Impact of jobs retained = .86 UPDATE 7/1/11-9/30/12 No new Jobs created.
