Contracts - AWARD SUMMARY
UNIVERSAL TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION
1.0 The contractor shall explore changes/modifications to upgrade a laser ablation growth reactor to enable application of Chemical Vapor Disposition (CVD) in the growth reactor. These changes/modifications shall include but not limited to identifying various plasma generation alternatives, such as microwave heating, electrical breakdown (DC) or high frequency breakdown.
2.0 The contractor shall execute various changes to the laser growth reactor and analyze the resultant product from these changes for SWCNT yield, purity, and conductivity. Parameter adjustments that will be optimized include temperature, gas flow rate, gas mixture ratios, quantity metal of catalyst injected per unit time, and gas flow properties (e.g. laminar vs. turbulent).
3.0 After producing high quality nanotube material, the contractor shall produce quantities of nanotubes for subsequent testing and characterization.
