SOUTHEASTERN REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY
1--The Authority is replacing the HVAC systems at the Fall River and New Bedford maintenance facilities. The current HVACs were over 30 years old, very inefficient, unreliable and required regular repairs. The new systems will lower operating costs and reduce the carbon footprint of SRTA. When completed the job will have utilized $305,000 in ARRA funding. 2-- The Authority upgraded the existing Trapeze hardware and software with a newer version. The new hardware and software is utilized for operations of the ADA demand response function. The new system will allow us to better utilize new software capabilities and improve the efficiency of the operation; it utilized $32,600 of ARRA funding. 3-- The Authority replaced six demand response vehicles. The new vans replaced two 1999 Aerotech and four 2000 Aerotech demand response vans. The 1999 and 2000 vehicles had reached the end of their useful life. The vehicles were purchased with $360,000 of ARRA funding. 4. Purchse of 1 30 FT Fixed Route Veicle using 313,430 in ARRA funds.
