| Quarterly Activities/Project Description |
Construction was completed during the second quarter of 2011. Contractor activities included Earth Work (31 00 00); trenching the first (Base Line A) of two trenches through McCornack Road. Masonry (04 20 00) the installation of CRM Headwall?s No.1, No.2 & No.3 and the completion of CRM Riprap Swale A & B. Also the additional CRM Headwall No.1 work extending from the inlet to the metal bridge to shore up the footings for the stairwell and the air conditioning unit due the undermining that occurred during the swale excavation. The implementation of the CRM Riprap Swale installed parallel to the front of the building. Also the new ADA asphalt stalls at the main entrance of Building 692, Warrior Center. The main parking lot is partially paved with new asphalt, new ADA Signage and parking stall stripping. A new drainage swale was added that drains ran runoff down a new CRM Riprap Swale directly into a new dissipater located on Waianae Avenue. New Drainage Crates and Handrails added over CRM Riprap Swales. |

The Project Superintendent is on site full time to make sure that the project complies with all regulations on time and within budget. The Quality Control Representative is appointed to monitor the quality of the work and to see that all materials that are being used have been approved by the government. The Site Safety Health Officer is on site full time to make sure all work complies with government safety standards. Other jobs that were created include carpenters, laborers, masons, and equipment operators. These are all skill trades. |
