The purpose of this award is to provide funding for infrastructure investments into Army National Guard facilities. This will be accomplished by the execution of 18 individual sustainment, restoration, and maintenance projects at various New Jersey Army National Guard facilities throughout the state. In order to accomplish this, the state will have to award 100% of the designated projects prior to the expiration of the funds or successfully reprogram unused funds toward the execution of current projects or the approval of addtional projects within the limitations of the program. Replace Lighting at Eight (8) Facility Maintenance Shops (FMS) ? Replace existing inadequate, energy inefficient indoor lighting with modern OSHA indoor lighting compliant and energy efficient lighting fixtures with motion sensors at the following locations: Cape May (Proj # 1169), Dover (Picatinny Arsenal) (Proj # 1170), Fort Dix (Proj # 1171), Lawrenceville (Proj # 1174), Somerset (Proj # 1179), Teaneck (Proj # 1182), Vineland (Proj # 1184), Westfield (Proj # 1187). Each FMS is a separate ARRA project with OSD project number. Hackettstown Armory HVAC ? Replace old, inefficient air conditioning units with modern, energy efficient air conditioning equipment for offices and classrooms to support the military mission. (Proj # 1172) Morristown Armory Roof Replacement ? Replace existing roof systems with modern, more energy efficient and weatherproof roof systems. Existing roof systems were deteriorating from age, causing water leaks and interior damage. (Proj # 1175) Somerset Armory HVAC - Replace old, inefficient air conditioning units with modern, energy efficient air conditioning equipment for offices and classrooms. Additional cooling capacity was also added to support the military mission. (Proj # 1177) Somerset Armory Window Replacement ? Replace old, energy inefficient window systems with new energy efficient window systems. New windows will result in lower fuel costs and more comfortable working conditions to support the military mission. (Proj # 1178) Somerset Armory Bathroom Rehabilitation ? Renovation of existing four (4) bathrooms which are not ADA compliant and have old, inefficient water fixtures. Bathroom renovation includes making bathrooms ADA compliant and installing modern water and energy efficient fixtures and equipment. (Proj # 1180) Teaneck Armory Replace Boiler Vacuum Tank ? Old vacuum tank was causing the boiler to operate inefficiently, requiring frequent maintenance. Replacing the vacuum tank will make the heating system work more efficiently, saving fuel and maintenance costs, as well as providing better heating throughout the building. (Proj # 1181) West Orange Armory Boiler Replacement ? Replace old inefficient boiler with modern efficient boiler, resulting in a more energy efficient heating system and better heating throughout the building. (Proj # 1185) West Orange Armory Sewer Line Replacement ? Existing sewer line was corroded and leaking sewage into the basement of building, causing a safety and health problem for workers. The replacement sewer line fixed this safety and health problem. (Proj # 1186) Woodbury Armory Roof Replacement - Replace existing roof system with modern, more energy efficient and weatherproof roof system. Existing roof system was deteriorating from age, causing water leaks and interior damage. (Proj # 1188) Lakehurst AASF Roof Replacement ? Replace existing roof system on the AASF (Army Aviation Support Facility) with modern, more energy efficient and weatherproof roof system, lightning protection system, and safety lights. Existing roof system was deteriorating from age, causing water leaks and interior damage. This facility has offices and aircraft maintenance shops, and a hanger floor to support indoor aircraft maintenance. (Proj # 2375)
