TREVIICOS SOLETANCHE JV
The award is for partially fund a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District to provide a Cut Off Wall at the Wolf Creek Dam, near Jamestown, Kentucky. Wolf Creek Dam is on the Cumberland River system. This a mayor seepage rehabilitation project to improve the long-term reliability of the DAM, performed under Government emergency Dam Safety Program.
Major components of the award are the following:
(1) Widdening of Work Platform to acomodate construction Equipment.
(2) Complete a partially constructed, 4,500-foot long Double Line grout curtain.
(3) Installation of concrete seepage barrier of approximately 4,200 feet long and total surface area of the face is about 980,000 square feet;
(4) Development of slurry and waste disposal area on adjacent Government property;
(5) Construct Haul roads to the new disposal area downstream of the dam;
(6) Monitor existing instrumentation including piezometers and inclinometers;
(7) Install and monitor piezometers and inclinometers.

The main activities performed during this quarter were the following:
(1) Construction of a wall panles to protect the Dam Embankment during the barrier wall construction denominated "Protective Conrete Embankment Wall" (PCEW) in Areas between Critical Area 2 and Critical Area 3.
(2) Construction of the Barrier wall piles in the denominated Technique Areas and Non Critical areas Close to Technique Area 2.
(3) Execution of the Arapuni Panel (5 slot secant guided piles) in Technique Area #1
(4) Execution of a platform on the west end for new soil investigation campaign by the goverment.
(5) Maintinance of roads and hauling of excavated material
(6) Monitoring of Dam Instrumentation. |
