Los Angeles-Long Beach Harbors, CA. The Architect-Engineer (A-E) shall prepare the Comprehensive Condition Survey Report for the San Pedro Breakwater. The A-E shall collect and review available surveys and relevant design memoranda and reports; conduct physical field surveys consisting of hydrographic multi-beam and side scan sonar mapping, and above water elevation mapping with laser scanning technology and ortho-photo mapping; develop design conditions using current engineering practice and updated data of the oceanographic environment; evaluate the functionality and engineering effectiveness of the existing breakwater; and prepare a risk and reliability analysis for future functionality. Field surveys, analysis and evaluations shall be documented in the comprehensive condition survey report.

This position is Coastal Engineer/Planner that will be employed on the project in the United States. The coastal planner will be assisting with the Task 0003 work and conducting a physical survey of the breakwater, data collection, and functionality of this 100 year old coastal protection structure in Los Angeles – Long Beach Harbor. |
