DOYON UTILITIES, LLC
Summary: Construct a new disconnect and isolation system to be used for Emergency Power at Building 806
Detail: Building 806 has multiple services at different voltages. The Army possesses a 500 KW generator which will be used to energize the section of the distribution line that provides power to building 806. In order to do this safely, the proper isolation equipment must be installed and switching procedures created. As part of the switching procedures, any other services on this part of the line will be disconnected before the generator is energized. A pad mounted switch cabinet will be installed at either end of the distribution line and a connection point for the generator will be provided near the south switch cabinet.
Doyon Utilities proposes to construct these facilities in the spring of 2010. The project engineering can be scheduled to begin within two weeks of notice to proceed. Construction can be scheduled to begin once the ground has thawed sufficiently and can be complete within two months of project start. This schedule is dependent on sufficient notice to allow for the ordering of long lead time items, the longest of which is twelve weeks (for the transformer).
