Consistent with the federal legislative intent, the University of Puerto Rico Graduate School of Public Health (UPR?GSPH) proposes to increase the recruitment and enrollment of the best qualified students in the shortage areas of epidemiology, biostatistics, nutrition, maternal and child health, and environmental health. Particularly, the objectives of this proposal are: (1) increase the pool of qualified applicants; (2) recruit; and (3) graduate in a timely fashion students in the shortage areas.

All funds will be used for the purposes of this grant by the end of the project period ending 8/31/2012. This report includes tuition and stipend payments issued for the 2nd, 3rd trimester and summer session for the AY 2011-12. Some transactions are still in progress. All funds were distributed to participants of the PH Trainership.
