Photo Science is collecting and processing LiDAR data for approximately 700 square miles just east of Mobile Bay, Alabama. The goal of the project in the post-Katrina environment is to provide scientific knowledge and tools required to make optimal decisions about land resource use, management practices, and future development in the northern Gulf of Mexico coastal zone. Photo Science is responsible for completing acquisition of the project area at the required data density and for the processing of data to bare earth as well as production of additional derivative products. The lineage (metadata), positional, content (completeness), attribution, logical consistency, and accuracies of all digital elevation data produced will conform to the specifications as stated in task order.
