LVI ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES INC.
LVI was contracted to demolish 45 single family cottages located on an archepelago in Stratford CT. To access the property, a temporary haul road is to be constructed atop beach dunes stretching approx 3/4 mile from the parking lot area of a local beach area. Due to a nesting bird population during the months of March thru September, no work can be performed in this area. The haul road will be installed prior to the black-out dates and then return to demolish the homes later. Removals of many contaminates such as Asbestos, LEAD, mercury, alloys and other hazardous materials along with general home construction debris and masonry products will ne our main focus. Removing the construction (approx 954 tons of CD waste, 1 ton of Lead debris, 14 tons of Asbestos and 19 tons of masonry waste) from the premise is linked to a sensitive natural area of marsh land and coastal waterways. Careful preparation will be mandated to assure a clean, qualitated removal process and said items. Upon completion, the haul road will be removed and the natural surroundings returned to their former state, and used a bird-sanctuary of sorts, a nature preserve, if you will, for all species to enjoy for years to come.
