Quarterly Activities/Project Description Quarterly Activities: - 780 RiverSmart Homes projects have been completed. - The forth and final green alley was installed and the overall project was completed under-budget, reallocating $25,046.63 to the RiverSmart Homes program. - The Hickey Run BMP pervious access road was completed under-budget, reallocating $92,640.80 ($87,712.39 to RiverSmart Homes and $4,928.41 to personnel). - All projects under this grant were completed prior to the March 31, 2013 award end date. - Project personnel continue to organize administrative documentation toward closing out the following completed projects: Hickey Run BMP pervious access road; RiverSmart Homes; and Green Alleys. - The following projects have been completed and administratively closed out: Green Neighborhoods Tree Planting; Green Roofs at Benning, Shaw, and Tenley Libraries; Impervious Surface Reduction Project; Wilson Senior High School Green Roof; Woodson Senior High School Green Roof; Tree Canopy Renovation; Green Median Renovation; Mayfair Mansions/Jay Street NE; Rock Creek Outfalls; Pope Branch Outfalls; Green Tanks for Fire Engines; Anacostia SHS Green Roof; and Green Toilets at Anacostia SHS. Project Description: Green projects such as green roofs, porous pavements, rain gardens, and tree planting.

Description of Jobs Created The "number of jobs" calculation was performed using guidance from the Office of Management and Budget, Memorandum M-10-08 dated 12/18/09. The estimate is expressed as a quarterly FTE. The total number of actual hours worked and paid for with Recovery Act funds was divided by the number of hours representing a full-time work schedule (520). The total hours worked includes District Department of Environment staff as well as hours reported by our subrecipients.
