Maintaining child care services at current FPL. Eliminate need for creation of a waiting list for services.
Invest in Infrastructure - Integrate existing data systems and eliminate fragmentation. Enhance collaboration,streamline cross-agency processes into more uniform, un-fragmented comprehensive system. Develop hybrid training platform and module templates for use by CCR&R?s and public to conduct on-line training. Create a web-based portal for early care and education professionals to log and track training hours completed. Develop a resource library to trainers to access.
Provide Financial Incentives -Child Care Infant/Toddler Provider Incentive Mini Grant is used to buy specific materials to improve programs that serve infants and toddlers.
Enhanced Quality Rating and Improvement System - Conduct evaluation of existing STARS for KIDS Now program. Disseminate/distribute marketing materials to encourage STARS participation and inform/educate parents on STARS quality centers through purchased advertising.
Infant and Toddler Initiatives ? Hire infant/toddler Coordinator to help meet planned objectives. Work with community partners to develop modules on hybrid training system that focuses on infant/toddler child care environments.
Support Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies - Improve CCR&R?s capabilities to provide technical assistance to centers serving infants, toddlers and school age children. Develop hybrid training platform and module templates for use by CCR&R?s to enhance training options and promote statewide consistency in delivery of a quality training format on-line. Improve quality of care for school-age children in licensed child care centers. Improve professional development for staff around school-age care through development of Environmental Standards for School Age Child Care. Dissemination includes training to providers.
