EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA
State Fiscal Stabilization Funds are for the support of public elementary, secondary, and postsecondary education and, as, applicable, early childhood education programs and services.
Pennsylvania’s Basic Education Funding is paid from a combination of state and federal State Fiscal Stabilization Fund (SFSF) funds. The SFSF funds, which supplement the state funds for both higher education and the Basic Education Fund, can largely be used at the discretion of the sub-recipient. Most sub-recipients chose to use their funds to maintain educational programs, curriculum and instructional staff levels.
