WSDOT advertises multiple contracts for statewide stimulus-funded safety projects

​OLYMPIA – WSDOT advertised a series of contracts this week worth up to $12 million to improve safety on 32 highways across Washington. Gov. Chris Gregoire and the Washington state Legislature targeted federal American Reinvestment and Recovery Act funds for the installation of centerline rumble strips on more than 650 miles of highway and the retrofit of more than 29 miles of cable median barrier.
