USIBWC Awards Contract for Presidio Levee Construction

The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) has awarded a construction contract in the amount of $8,395,995 for rehabilitation of six miles of Rio Grande flood control levees at Presidio, Texas. The work will be undertaken on the downstream portion of the U.S. levee system at Presidio starting 1.2 miles downstream from the old railroad crossing and continuing downstream to the confluence with Brito Creek.

USIBWC Awards $220 Million in Levee Work Accounting for 100% of Its Recovery Act Funds

The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) has awarded $220 million in projects funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act), accounting for 100% of Recovery Act funds appropriated to the agency. The funding is being used to construct improvements for 237 miles of aging Rio Grande flood control levees in Texas and New Mexico.

USIBWC AWARDS CONTRACT FOR PRESIDIO LEVEE CONSTRUCTION FUNDED BY THE RECOVERY ACT

The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) has awarded a construction contract in the amount of $6.3 million for rehabilitation of Rio Grande flood control levees at Presidio, Texas funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Recovery Act includes $220 million for USIBWC levee projects.
