FAMILY HEALTH CENTERS, INC
Family Health Centers'(FHC) CIP grant will fund three separate projects, all at the FHC-Portland location. These projects include:
Project 1) Renovation of space within the Portland neighborhood facility that consists of the following 3 Facets: Facet 1)Renovation of the west end of the second floor into an efficient clinical space will increase FHC's capacity to provide care to additional patients. Facet 2)Repair, paint, and install storm windows on the 346 wooden windows in the 75 year-old former hospital building to enhance energy efficiency, reduce utility costs, and improve the exterior façade. Facet 3)Expansion of data center, including purchase of information technology equipment. FHCs utilization of information technology (IT) is rapidly expanding and the data center is out of physical space and cannot accommodate additional IT hardware needed to utilize new and upgraded information systems.
Project 2) Purchase and install a laboratory information system and a digital radiology system, and Project
3) purchase and install a replacement practice management system with related equipment. The digital radiology and lab information systems will convert legacy processes into full electronic HIT systems and a replacement practice management system will enhance FHC's current system and pave the way for future EMR integration.
